No. 6 Virginia Opens Season at Home against No. 15 Georgetown
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 6 Virginia women’s squash team opens the season by hosting No. 15 Georgetown on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at the McArthur Squash Center.

- Virginia opens the season by taking on Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference foe Georgetown. This is also the season and conference opener for the Hoyas
- Virginia finished last season with a No. 4 ranking in the CSA national rankings. They come into the weekend ranked No. 6
- The Cavaliers return a core portion of last year’s lineup with 11 returning letterwinners and two newcomers
- All-MASC First Team honoree and co-Freshman of the Year Lina Tammam returns for her sophomore season
- All-MASC Second Team honoree Olivia Walsh returns for her senior season after posting a 17-2 record last season
- Virginia won last year’s meeting against Georgetown 9-0 in Washington, D.C. and is 5-0 all-time against the Hoyas
