CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia field hockey team (12-6) earned an at-large bid to the field of 18 teams of the 2023 NCAA Field Hockey Championship and will compete in the Maryland regional.

The Cavaliers will take on Saint Joseph’s on Friday, Nov. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex in College Park, Md. Four-seed Maryland (16-5) and Old Dominion (14-5) will play in Friday’s first game at noon. The advancing teams will face one another on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.

It is the 27th trip to the NCAA Championship for the Cavaliers and their 15th in the last 18 years.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for youth (3-17) and seniors (62+) and  should be purchased in advance from the Maryland online ticket office. Click here to buy tickets.

North Carolina, Duke and Northwestern will serve as the other three host sites for the first- and second-round games. The winner of each site will advance to the NCAA semifinals on Friday, Nov. 17 at Karen Shelton Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C.
