CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 8 Virginia men’s squash team (4-5, 3-1 MASC) plays a pair of matches at the Kline Center in Carlisle, Pa., taking on No. 22 Dickinson (4-6, 0-2 MASC) on Saturday (Jan. 20) at 2 p.m. and No. 28 Denison (3-4) in a neutral-site match there on Sunday (Jan. 21) at 1 p.m.

NOTE: Friday’s home match against Chatham has been postponed due to weather. Makeup date is to be determined

CAVALIER NOTES

  • Virginia remained at No. 8 in the CSA team rankings
  • This is Virginia’s first match since December 2, a break of 47 days between matches
  • The Cavaliers headed into break with a 5-4 win against No. 10 Dartmouth
  • Friday’s match was originally scheduled to be a road contest but the location was changed to a home contest for the Cavaliers
  • Saturday’s match against the Red Devils is a MASC contest
  • Maxwell Velazquez leads the team in victories with a 6-3 record. He is 3-1 at six and 3-2 at seven
  • CJ Baldini and JP Tew both have 5-4 records. Tew is 3-1 at position 2
  • Charles Braff went 3-0 in his matches the weekend before the break
  • Virginia is 6-1 against Dickinson and 1-0 against Denison
