CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Four Virginia women’s squash team members will compete at the 2024 National Collegiate Individual Championships, which will be held March 8-10 at the Arlen Specter Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

HOW TO FOLLOW

NOTES ON THE TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE

  • Two rounds will be contested on Friday
  • Each bracket is comprised of 16 players
  • Players who lose in the opening round will fall into a consolation bracket
  • Semifinal matches will be played on Saturday, with finals on Sunday

RAMSAY CUP

  • Senior Meagan Best and sophomore Lina Tammam will be competing in the Ramsay Cup, the top-tier bracket
  • Best will face Aishwarya Khubchandani of Cornell on Friday at 11:15 a.m.
  • This is her third time competing in the top tier of the championship. She was the 2022 Ramsay Cup Consolation Champion and made the semifinals in 2023
  • Tammam will face Wen Li Lai of Cornell on Friday at 10:30 a.m.
  • This is her first time competing at the national championships

HOLLERAN CUP

  • Junior Maureen Foley and freshman Clare Minnis will be competing in the B-Division Holleran Cup
  • Foley will play in the east bracket, taking on Rhea Pandt of Williams at 1:30 p.m. on Friday
  • This is her second time competing in the Holleran Cup. She was the consolation champion of her draw last year
  • Minnis will compete in the south bracket and face Katherine Sapinski of Princeton at 9:45 a.m.
  • This is her first time competing at the national championships
