UVA Divers Set for NCAA Zone Diving
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia’s mens’ and women’s divers are set to compete at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships at DeNunzio Pool on the campus of Princeton University. The event runs from Monday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 13.
Representing the Cavaliers at the regional event will be Lizzy Kaye, Maddy Grosz, Morgan Manley, Nick Sanders and Dean Treanor. Oliver Mills is not competing due to an injury suffered at the ACC Championships.
Last year Kaye won the 3-meter event in Morgantown, W.Va., and was fifth in the 1-meter competition and eighth in the platform event. This season Kaye set the program’s second best mark (332.25) in the 1-meter and platform (271.25) and posted the third-best score in the 3-meter (355.15).
Kaye has qualified for the NCAA Championships in both of the past two seasons.
