Brown Sidelined for 2024-25 Season with Injury
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia women’s basketball head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton announced Tuesday (Aug. 6) that Jillian Brown will miss the 2024-25 season due to an ACL injury suffered in May.
A 5-10 guard, Brown arrived at Virginia ahead of the 2023-24 season as a transfer from Northwestern. In her first season as a Cavalier, she appeared in 30 of 32 games while making 10 starts. Brown scored in double-figures to help deliver a pair of wins over No. 15 Florida State and No. 20 Louisville. At the end of the season, she was honored with the Ralph Sampson Scholarship Award.
