CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. The Orange Team scored a run in the sixth inning on a Tyler Biddix (Richmond, Va.) single to score David Adams (Margate, Fla.) for the game’s lone run in a 1-0 victory over the Blue Team Tuesday in Game 6 of the Orange and Blue World Series at Davenport Field. With the win, the Orange Team takes the second three-game series, two games to one, to even the overall series and force a decisive seventh game at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Robert Poutier (Yorktown, Va.) and Robert Morey (Virginia Beach, Va.) combined on a three-hit shutout for the Orange. Poutier allowed just one hit and two walks over five innings. He walked two and struck out four. Morey earned the win and pitched the final two innings, giving up two hits while striking out one. Adams went 2-for-3 to lead the Orange offense.

Tyler Wilson (Midlothian, Va.), Andrew Carraway (Marietta, Ga.) and Michael Schwimer (Alexandria, Va.) were stingy as well for the Blue, giving up just seven hits in the contest. Wilson worked two scoreless innings in his starting outing. Carraway, who took the loss, gave up a run and four hits over 3 1/3 innings of work, while Schwimer tossed the final 2/3 of an inning.
