Charlottesville, VA – VirginiaSports.com and VirginiaSportsTV.com will be the official sources for updates on the latest Virginia football news on Football National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 2. This is the first day National Letters of Intent can be signed by prospective football student-athletes.

VirginiaSports.com will have the Signing Day Central page active starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday. From the time the first NLI is received, VirginiaSports.com and VirginiaSportsTV.com will offer up-to-date coverage of all of the day’s activities.

Each future Cavalier will be listed on Signing Day Central as their NLI is received. The site will feature bios and video highlights of each recruit. VirginiaSports.com’s Jeff White will also have the first exclusive interview with UVa head coach Mike London about this year’s signing class.

This year Cavalier fans will be able to interact via Virginia athletics’ social networking sites on Twitter and Facebook. A link for Social Media Community will be featured on Signing Day Central. Fans can visit UVa’s Twitter site (http://twitter.com/VirginiaSports) and submit questions for Jeff White to ask London by replying to @VirginiaSports. Fans are also encouraged to use the hashtag #newhoos in their tweets. Responses will be posted on the Signing Day Central page by 5 p.m.

Fans can follow Coach London on Twitter during the day at http://twitter.com/coachmikelondon. On UVa’s athletics Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/VirginiaCavaliers), fans can interact and answer questions posted about National Signing Day.

London will meet with the media Wednesday afternoon to discuss the signing class. London’s comments and video excerpts from his press conference will be posted on Signing Day Central by 6 p.m. London will then appear live on Comcast SportsNet at 5 p.m. At 5:45 p.m. he will be a guest on ESPNU’s College Football Signing Special.

WINA AM 1070 will host a special edition of Best Seat in the House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening. At 8 p.m., Virginia Sports Radio Network coverage of the Cavaliers’ home basketball game against Clemson will begin with a 30-minute Signing Day special featuring Coach London and the “Voice of the Cavaliers,” Dave Koehn.

At 8:50 p.m., London will address the crowd at John Paul Jones Arena and offer comments on the 2011 recruiting class.
