CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 8 Virginia Cavaliers (6-2) return to action when they visit in-state foe VMI (0-9) on Tuesday night. Faceoff with the Keydets is set for 7 p.m. Virginia this week is ranked No. 8 in both the USILA coaches and Cascade/Maverik media polls.

Live stats of the game will be available on VirginiaSports.com. There will be a live radio broadcast in the Charlottesville area on WINA 1070 AM. The broadcast will be simulcast through Cavaliers Live at VirginiaSports.com for a subscription fee. Luke Neer will bring the play-by-play and Doug Tarring will provide the color analysis.

Virginia owns a 21-0 all-time record against the Keydets and 2015 is the 10-straight season the two programs have met in a series that started in 1949. Virginia head coach Dom Starsia is 14-0 all-time against VMI. The Cavaliers’ average victory margin in the series is 17.6 goals.

Greg Coholan leads UVa with 20 goals and is tied for the team points lead at 27 with Zed Williams (15 goals, 12 assists). Ryan Tucker has 17 goals and Ryan Lukacovic and Owen Van Arsdale round out UVa’s top scorers with 12 goals apiece. Matt Barrett is saving 53.2 percent of shots he is seeing between the pipes and is posting a 12.07 goals against average.

VMI head coach Brian Anken is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Keydets after previous stints at Lycoming and Mars Hills. Mike DeBlasio leads VMI with seven goals, three assists and 10 points. Dan Bull and Brad Nardella are tied for second on the team with six goals. Evan Windisch is saving 45.8 percent of shots against in him between the pipes and is posting an 14.77 goals against average.

UVa returns home on Saturday, March 28 when the Cavaliers host the Richmond Spiders. Faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
