CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Orange and Blue teams split the first two games of the 2015 Orange and Blue World Series at Davenport Field, with the Blue winning 10-3 on Thursday before the Orange rebounded for a 5-4 victory on Friday.

The seven-game series will be broken up into two three-game series (Games 1-3 and Games 4-6 are separate series) as well as a stand-alone Game 7. If a given team wins the first two games of either series, the third game of that series will be played based on run differential of the first two games to allow the trailing team a chance to still win the series. Each team is encouraged to score as many runs as possible and not worry about running up the score.

GAME 2 SUMMARY
The Orange team rallied from a pair of deficits to score a series-evening 4-3 win on Friday afternoon at Davenport Field.

Connor Jones (Jr., Chesapeake, Va.) earned the win out of the Orange bullpen with three innings of one-run relief, while Tyler Shambora (Jr., Venice, Fla.) picked up a save with two scoreless innings.. Blue reliever Chesdin Harrington (Fr., Montpelier, Va.) took the defeat after allowing a pair of fifth-inning runs. Orange starter Kevin Doherty (Sr., Laytonsville, Md.) allowed two runs in two innings, while Blue starter Adam Haseley (So., Windermere, Fla.) gave up two runs in three innings.

Ernie Clement (So., Rochester, N.Y.) and Cameron Comer (Fr., Powell, Ohio) each recorded two hits for the Orange. Matt Thaiss (Jr., Jackson, N.J.) hit a two-run home run as part of a 4-for-4 day for the Blue, while teammate Daniel Pinero (Jr., Toronto, Ontario) scored two runs and recorded a pair of hits.

The Blue team took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first when Thaiss lined a 2-run home run over the right-field wall. Orange tied the game in the third on a Doak Dozier (Fr., Fort Worth, Texas) RBI groundout, but the Blue responded in its half of the inning on a Cameron Simmons (Fr., Royersford, Pa.) sac fly.

The Orange team moved ahead in the fifth inning on a pair of run-scoring bunts. Andy Weber (Fr., Aurora, Ohio) hit a safety squeeze to bring home Comer before Clement laid down a bunt single to score Jack Weiller (Fr., Waccabac, N.Y.).

GAME 1 SUMMARY
The Blue scored six runs in the first two innings in rolling to a 10-3 victory in Game 1.

Blue starter Tommy Doyle (So., Vienna, Va.) worked four innings of one-run baseball to earn the win, while David Rosenberger (Sr., Bethlehem, Pa.) pitched the final three innings to claim the save. Orange starter Jack Roberts (Jr., Richmond, Va.) pitched two innings and allowed six runs (five earned) in taking the loss.

Adam Haseley (So., Windermere, Fla.) scored three runs and recorded a pair of hits for the Blue, which totaled 12 hits in the victory. Justin Novak (So., Tokyo, Japan) and Jon Meola (Fr., Toms River, N.J.) added a pair of hits each. Charlie Cody (So., Chesapeake, Va.) recorded two hits for the Orange.

After scoring two runs in the first inning, the Blue took an early 6-0 lead as it batted around during a four-run second inning.
