ACC Tournament Notes

  • Virginia is 38-62 all-time in the ACC Tournament, including 8-7 in eight seasons under Tony Bennett
  • Virginia reached the quarterfinals for the sixth straight season
  • This was the first-ever ACC Tournament meeting between UVA and Notre Dame

Team Notes

  • Virginia is 10-2 all-time against Notre Dame, including 5-1 as ACC foes
  • Virginia had its four-game win streak snapped
  • UVA is 4-6 this year against ranked opponents
  • After making at least 10 3-pointers in each of its last four games, UVA hit seven today (19 attempts)
  • UVA trailed at the half for the seventh time this year (3-4 record in those games)
  • Virginia’s six-point halftime deficit was its third-largest halftime deficit of the year (12 vs. Ohio State and at North Carolina)

Player Notes

  • London Perrantes made his 132nd career start, first all-time in program history
  • With three 3-pointers, Darius Thompson matched a career high, set Dec. 3 against West Virginia; he has hit at least two 3-pointers in three straight games
  • Thompson scored 12 points, his most since a 12-point effort at Boston College (Jan. 18)
  • Jarred Reuter scored nine points, his most since a 10-point effort at Pitt on Jan. 4
  • Reuter played 13 minutes, his most since 13 at Syracuse on Feb. 4
  • Marial Shayok scored 10 points, his 14th game in double figures this year
  • Ty Jerome scored 10 points, his fifth game in double figures this year
  • Devon Hall scored 12 points, marking his 15th game in double figures (13 against ACC teams)
  • Hall matched a career high with nine rebounds
  • Perrantes was held to a season-low three points
