CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s basketball sophomore center Felicia Aiyeotan (Lagos, Nigeria) has been named to the five-member 2017-18 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Defensive Team, as announced today (Feb. 27) by Commissioner John Swofford.

Aiyeotan currently leads the conference in blocked shots and is ninth in rebounding at 7.3 per game. Her 62 blocked shots this season ranks sixth in program history. As a sophomore, Aiyeotan already ranks fifth in program history in blocked shots with 116.

Aiyeotan is the fifth player in program history to be named to the ACC All-Defensive team, joining Renee Robinson (a member of the inaugural team in 2000), LaTonya Blue (2004-05), Monica Wright (2008, 10) and Lexie Gerson (2012, 14).
