CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  Virginia women’s basketball had six student-athletes named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team, announced Thursday (April 13) by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

London Clarkson, McKenna Dale, Kaydan Lawson, Mir McLean, Alexia Smith and Yonta Vaughn were among the conference’s 86 honorees.

Academic requirements for selection to the team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of a team’s games this season.

This is the first time each has earned this honor.
