Seven Cavaliers Earn All-ACC Academic Honors
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Seven Virginia women’s basketball student-athletes were named to the 2023-24 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference office announced Thursday (April 11).
Jillian Brown, Sam Brunelle, Paris Clark, Kymora Johnson, Taylor Lauterbach, Edessa Noyan and Alexia Smith were among the league’s 76 honorees.
Smith garnered her second career All-ACC Academic distinction, having also been honored last season. Lauterbach, who transferred to UVA from K-State in 2023, was a two-time All-Academic Big 12 First Team selection in 2022 and 2023.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
