CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Four Virginia football players have been named to the 2017 Senior Bowl Watch List. Cornerback Tim Harris, running back Taquan Mizzell and offensive tackles Michael Mooney and Eric Smith have all been named to the watch list.

Harris (Sr., Richmond, Va.) appeared in 10 of UVA’s 12 games in 2015 with nine starts. He made 34 tackles, three for a loss and picked off one pass, breaking up six passes.

Mizzell (Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.), a third-team All-ACC honoree in 2015, broke the ACC record for receiving yards by a running back with 721 in 2015. Mizzell finished 29 yards short of becoming the first FBS player since 2006 to record 700 receiving and 700 rushing yards in the same season. Mizzell is one of only five Cavaliers to ever record at least 1,000 career rushing and 1,000 career receiving yards. His 75 receptions in 2015 rank No. 2 all-time at UVA for catches in a season and No. 2 all-time for receptions in the ACC by a running back. Mizzell has already been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the only running back on the list, and the Maxwell Award Watch List.

Mooney (Sr., Malvern, Pa.) and Smith (Sr., Decatur, Ga.) both helped block for Mizzell, one of the ACC’s most dynamic players. Smith started all 12 games at right tackle and only allowed two sacks on 413 passing opportunities. Mooney started the first five games of 2015 at left tackle before missing the final seven games with an injury.

The 2017 Reese’s Senior Bowl week officially begins on Tuesday, Jan. 24 and concludes with the 68th game on Jan. 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. Ala. The practices are televised live by ESPN and the game is broadcast live on NFL Network at 2:30 p.m.
