Virginia Places Second at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Virginia Varsity Eight finished second at the Princeton Chase on Sunday (Oct. 30) on Lake Carnegie.
Brown won the Varsity Eight race with a time of 14:14.672 to defeat runner-up Virginia who came in at 14:21.485. Yale finished third (14:23.181), Princeton was fourth (14:31.702) and Duke (14:41.829) placed fifth.
UVA’s Second Varsity Eight finished seventh at 14:52.926. The Cavaliers’ Third Varsity Eight (15:25.096) and Fourth Varsity Eight (15:41.748) placed 21st and 28th, respectively, as Virginia had four of the top 28 boats.
Virginia concludes the 2016 fall season by hosting the Rivanna Romp on Sunday, Nov. 13. Race time on the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va., is set for 9 a.m.
