REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – The No. 7 Virginia rowing team posted one win in six races in day one action at the Pac-12 Invite on Saturday (April 1) in Redwood Shores, Calif.

Virginia out-raced the No. 10 Cardinal 6:28.55-6:31.96 in the Second Varsity Eight. Stanford topped UVA 6:20.26-6:27.38 in the Varsity Eight and 7:21.83-7:24.24 in the Varsity Four.

In Saturday morning racing, top-ranked Cal swept Virginia in three races. The Golden Bears topped the Cavaliers in the Varsity Eight (6:17.9-6:29.9), Second Varsity Eight (6:29.2-6:32.6) and Varsity Four (7:15.85-7:34.33).

The Cavaliers will close out the two-day regatta against No. 4 Washington on Sunday (April 2) at 12:20 p.m. ET. The Huskies placed fifth nationally last season.
