CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia (0-2) wrestling team opens the home portion of its schedule on Friday (Nov. 17) when it hosts Gardner-Webb (0-3) at 7 p.m. at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Admission is free to the public. Parking is available in the lots surrounding the AFC and Scott Stadium beginning at 5 p.m.

CAVALIERS IN THE RANKINGS
The Cavaliers have a trio of wrestlers in the national rankings heading into the second week of competition according to InterMat Wrestling. Redshirt freshman Louie Hayes (Orland Park, Ill.) is ranked No. 18 at 125 pounds, while sophomore and returning All-American Jack Mueller (Dallas, Texas) is No. 8 at 133 pounds. Redshirt junior Will Schany (Blair, Neb.) rounds out the ranked wrestlers for UVA, coming in at No. 18 at 174 pounds.

The Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb enter the Friday night contest coming off a pair of dual losses at Old Dominion over the weekend. Gardner-Webb dropped its first contest to Northwestern before falling in its second dual to Old Dominion to close the weekend.
