CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia (1-2, 0-0 ACC) wrestling team returns to the mat on Sunday (Nov. 26), hosting the No. 4 Missouri Tigers (4-0, 0-0 MAC) at 1 p.m. in a dual meet at Memorial Gym.

It’s the first meeting between the two teams since the 2001-02 season when the squads met at the Virginia Duals in Hampton, Va. The Cavaliers are 0-2 against the Tigers in the two meetings between the two programs.

Admission to all Virginia wrestling matches is free.

CAVALIERS IN THE RANKINGS
The Cavaliers have a trio of wrestlers in the national rankings heading into the third week of competition according to InterMat Wrestling. Redshirt freshman Louie Hayes (Orland Park, Ill.) is ranked No. 15 at 125 pounds, while sophomore and returning All-American Jack Mueller (Dallas, Texas) is No. 8 at 133 pounds. Redshirt junior Will Schany (Blair, Neb.) rounds out the ranked wrestlers for UVA, coming in at No. 18 at 174 pounds.

A LOOK AT MISSOURI
Missouri enters the weekend ranked No. 4 in the latest NWCA/USA Today Coaches poll. The Tigers also have seven individual wrestlers ranked in the latest rankings by InterMat Wrestling. Missouri is 4-0 in dual matches with wins over Illinois, Truman State, Missouri Valley and Central Missouri. The Tigers have a dual meet with Virginia Tech on Saturday night before facing the Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon.
