Five Cavaliers Land on CSC Academic All-District Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia football student-athletes Paul Akere, Will Bettridge, Trey McDonald, Brian Stevens and Malik Washington were each featured on the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Football team.

Bettridge, Stevens and Washington were each selected as finalists for selection to the CSC Academic All-America team and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 23, 2024.

To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District team, student-athletes must possess a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher and student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution’s games/contests played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests.
