PRIOR TO VIRGINIA (FRESNO STATE)
2024 – Appeared in all 12 regular season games … totaled 24 tackles (14 solo), 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and three quarterback hurries … led the team in tackles for loss (7.5) and was second on the squad in sacks (3.5) … registered six tackles, including two sacks and four tackles for loss in Fresno’s 17-25 loss at Washington State on Oct. 12.  2023 – Appeared in all 13 games … had 17 tackles … added 7.0 TFLs and 5.0 sacks … had one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry … led the team in sacks … had the fifth-most sacks among MW players … ranked 11th in the conference in sacks per game (0.38) … had a season-high five tackles at Utah State (Oct. 13) … had a season-high 2.0 TFLs at Utah State … had a career-high 2.0 sacks against the Aggies … had a fumble recovery at Arizona State (Sept. 16) … forced a fumble against Nevada (Sept. 30) … had at least one tackle in nine games … Academic All-Mountain West.  2022 – Appeared in eight games … started in Fresno State’s game at UConn (Oct. 1) … recorded five tackles (three solo) on the season … had a career-high four at UConn … had one fumble recovery … also had one quarterback hurry … was one of four true freshmen to see time on the defensive line this season, one of two to earn a start … Fall Academic All-Mountain West.

HIGH SCHOOL & PERSONAL
Attended Chandler High School … as a senior in 2021, he helped the team to an 11-2 record with a state championship appearance … Chandler HS ranked as the No. 3 high school football program in the state of Arizona in 2021 … was a three-year member of varsity. Holmes totaled 144 tackles (66 solo) and 29.0 tackles for loss in his varsity career. He also added 8.0 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles … in only three games played in 2020, he impressed with 23 tackles (18 solo) and 11 tackles for loss in that shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic … began his high school football career at Cesar Chavez High School before transferring to Chandler High School as a senior … first team All-Region defensive end … 2021 Phoenix Union District Defensive Player of the Year … named the 2018 Freshman Defensive Lineman of the Year at Cesar Chavez HS … coached local youth football team.
