Men’s Golf Adds Assistant Coach

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.? Chris Wallace, a 1996 graduate of LynchburgCollege, has been named assistant men?s golf coach at the University ofVirginia.

During his college career, Wallace was a three-year captain andrecorded five, top-five finishes. Two of those top-five finishes included awin at the 1995 Bridgewater Fall Invitational and a second place finish inthe 1995 Lynchburg Fall Invitational. In addition, he was named to theAll-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Academic Team three times.

Wallace most recently worked for the Charlottesville Daily Progresswhere he wrote a weekly golf column and was the beat writer for theUniversity of Virginia men?s basketball and men’s soccer teams for the pastthree years.

The Cavaliers, who finished third at The Ridges Golf Tournamentlast weekend, host the Cavalier Classic at Birdwood Golf Course on Sept.19-20.
