The University of Virginia field hockey team, ACC finalists in 2000, has been invited to the 2000 NCAA Championships. The Cavaliers (14-7) will face the Connecticut Huskies (16-6) in the first round in a game to be played at Old Dominion on Saturday, November 11. This is the Cavaliers’ sixth consecutive bid to the NCAA tournament, extending the longest streak in school history. This appearance is the 11th in the NCAA tournament for the Cavaliers, who have a record of 5-10 all-time in the championships.
