CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s soccer team will face the Creighton Bluejays in the Quarterfinals (third round) of the 2000 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship. The match will be played on Saturday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in Kl?ckner Stadium.
The Cavaliers will play be playing in their 59th contest in the NCAA Tournament when Virginia meets Creighton. UVa stands 40-16-2 (.707) all-time in the NCAA Tournament. UVa is 0-0-1 all-time in the series history with the Bluejays. The two teams played their only game on September 7, 1991 in Charlottesville, Virginia in the first match of the Coca-Cola Classic Tournament. In the season-opener for both squads, Virginia tied Creighton by the score of 3-3.
