Virginia’s Jennifer Owens finished third at the ACC Cross Country Championships in Clemson, S.C., today, leading the #15 Cavaliers to third overall at the meet. Her time of 21:09.5 was good enough for All-ACC honors. Her teammate Sarah Folse finished 11th in a time of 21:42.2. The Cavaliers were edged by #6 North Carolina State (39) and #11 North Carolina (55).
On the men’s side, Walton Kingsberry was the top finisher for the Cavaliers, who took fourth overall with a team score of 114. #6 North Carolina State, #17 Duke and #21 Wake Forest were the only teams in front of Virginia. Andy Filachek was the second runner for the Hoos, just six seconds behind Kingsberry.
The Cavaliers will host a home meet on Saturday, November 3.
