Borski Named ACC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia women’s soccer senior forward Darci Borski (Philadelphia, Pa.) was named ACC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week conference officials announced Monday. Borski had three goals last week while leading the Cavaliers to two conference wins.

In a 2-0 win over Duke on October 23, Borski scored a late goal to seal the win, the Cavaliers’ first in the conference this season. On October 26, Borski scored two goals to lead Virginia to a 2-1 win over then No. 14 Wake Forest in Winston-Salem.

Borski’s three goals on the week moved her into the top ten in Virginia’s career goals and points lists. Her 69 career points places her in a tie for ninth on that list, while her 27 career goals places ninth in that category.

Borski will be one of four seniors to be honored before the Cavaliers’ final home regular season game Wednesday, October 30 against N.C. State. The is set for 7:00 p.m. at Kl?ckner Stadium.
