CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia baseball team has announced a starting time of 4:00 PM for its addition of the U.S. Naval Academy game to its regular season schedule on Wednesday, March 5th. The contest will be played at Davenport Field at the UVa Baseball Field. The game against Navy was not originally on the Cavaliers’ 2003 schedule at the beginning of the season. The contest was one of several games added last week to Virginia’s regular season schedule after UVa had to cancel several contests due to inclement weather.
The U.S. Naval Academy stands 0-4 on the season and is coached by former UVa assistant baseball coach Steve Whitmyer.
