We got out rebounded 29-13 in the first half, and that says a lot about thegame. Their second shots were a key part of the game. Every time we made alittle run, we couldn’t keep them from getting second shots.
(On the long three-point shots at the end of the game by Drew Nicholas andSteve Blake) We had Drew take that shot because he made one to beat N.C.State. He had a better look tonight. We had Steve take the shot because hejust made one to tie it.
(On Travis Watson) He might have the best hands of any big man I’ve seen.When he gets his hands on the ball he controls it. And he just works. He’sthe kind of playere everybody likes to coach.
(On Jason Rogers’ play) He’s a good player. He’s had good games for them thisyear. You expect him to do some damage.

I thought our kids played with great emotion and fire, which has been missingfor a long time. If you play with fire, emotion and passion, you can overcomea lot of things. [The two games against] Maryland might be the best gameswe’ve had.
We had energy with senior night. If we could have that every night, we’d be abetter team.
We were very selfless. We played with tremendous grit. To beat a team likeMaryland twice in a year is special.
(On 59 rebounds) That’s effort.
Travis (Watson) was great. When he shoots 10 for 12 from the free-throw line,you know he’s zeroed in. We just wanted to get the ball inside to Travis.They just couldn’t stop him.
(On Jason Rogers) We were saving him for four years for this moment. Icouldn’t believe it. He did what he could offensively, blocked shots. Hedoesn’t do that in practice.
It’s a new season now with the ACC tournament. Duke has won the tournamentthe last four years, so it will be a tough game. Duke is a great team.
(On Todd Billet) Todd has to do a lot. He’s got a great burden, bigger thanmost people. He was great. When guys like Travis and Todd have great games,you hate to see it go to waste. Thank God we came away with a victory.
