Men’s Golf Stands 12th at Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Virginia men’s golf team stands 12th at the Seminole Intercollegiate after the first 36 holes, which concluded on Tuesday morning.

The conclusion of the second round was delayed until Tuesday morning because of darkness.

North Carolina leads the field of 15 teams with a 564 (-12), while South Carolina follows by two strokes with a 566 (-10). The Cavaliers shot a 596 (+20).

Individually, the Gamecocks’ Nash Elliott holds a one-stroke edge over the Tar Heels’ Dustin Bray. Elliot fired a seven-under 137, including a seven-under 65 in the second round. Bray has a six-under 138.

Senior Justin Goodhue (Glastonbury, Conn.) paces UVa with a 146 (+2) to tie for 26th. He shot a one-under 71 in the second round. Freshman Brad Tilley (Chappaqua, N.Y.) is tied for 38th with a 148 (+4), while freshman Eamonn McLoughlin (Amityville, N.Y.) follows by one stroke with a 149 (+5). Junior Jeremy Luce (Austin, Texas) shot a 155 (+11), while freshman Dan Gabel (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) shot a 159 (+15).

The Cavaliers conclude action at the Seminole Collegiate on Tuesday, March 11.
