RALEIGH, N.C. – University of Virginia senior forward/center Travis Watson has earned second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition for the third consecutive year and junior guard Todd Billet received honorable mention recognition on the 2003 Associated Press All-ACC Men’s Basketball Team. Members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association voted on the team.

Watson averaged 14.0 points and 10.6 rebounds a game, and shot 50.9 percent (149-293) from the field during the 2002-03 regular season. He leads the ACC in rebounding and in double-doubles (15).

Billet averaged 13.8 points, 3.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds a game during the regular season. He made 86.0 percent of his free throw attempts (74-86) and shot 41.1 percent (85-207) from three-point range.

Earning first-team All-ACC honors were Josh Howard (Wake Forest), Julius Hodge (North Carolina State), Steve Blake (Maryland), Dahntay Jones (Duke) and Edward Scott (Clemson).

Joining Watson on the All-ACC second team were Drew Nicholas (Maryland), Chris Bosh (Georgia Tech), Tim Pickett (Florida State) and Vytas Danelius (Wake Forest).

The All-ACC third team was comprised of J.J.Redick (Duke), Ryan Randle (Maryland), Chris Duhon (Duke), Raymond Felton (North Carolina) and B.J. Elder (Georgia Tech).

Rashad McCants (North Carolina), Jawad Williams (North Carolina) and Marcus Melvin (North Carolina State) joined Billet in earning honorable mention recognition.
