CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team will host a tournament for the second consecutive weekend as the 2003 Hoo’s Who Tournament takes place Friday through Sunday, March 21-23 at The Park. The Hoo’s Who Tournament features Virginia, James Madison, Penn State, Robert Morris and Tulsa.
Virginia enters the tournament with a 16-14 overall record and finished second in last weekend’s Cavalier Classic with a 4-2 mark. On Tuesday (March 18), the Cavaliers split a doubleheader with Rutgers, winning the first game 5-2 and falling in the nightcap 6-1. Tulsa stands at 17-11 on the season, while Penn State is 12-10. James Madison is 10-13 this year and Robert Morris 2-11.
Due to wet field conditions, the tournament schedule has been revised slightly. Instead of using two fields, just one field will be used Friday with four games taking place on it beginning at 9:00 a.m.
