CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team’s doubleheader against Virginia Tech originally scheduled for today (April 9) in Blacksburg has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 17. The first game of the twinbill at Virginia Tech will begin at 3:00 p.m. The doubleheader had been postponed due to anticipated inclement weather.
The Cavaliers, who stand at 26-17 overall and 1-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, return to action this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders. UVa travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. for an ACC doubleheader at North Carolina on Saturday (April 12) with the first game scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday (April 13), Virginia plays at doubleheader at Elon College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
