Charlottesville, VA- The 3rd Annual Mac McDonald Invitational Golf Tournament surpassed it’s goal Monday raising over $57,000 for the University of Virginia Children’s Medical Center. The original goal was $50,000.
“I think we made a terrific statement today,” McDonald said, the play by play voice of the Virginia Cavaliers.
“Our corporate support, Eure Communications, all the volunteers, and our celebrity field contributed to the success of this tournament. It is just amazing to me how far we have come in such a short time. It truly is becoming one of the premier golf events in this area, and when you consider the kids we are helping this has become a terrific event.”
The MMI has raised over $110,000 for the UVA Children’s Medical Center in three years.
