Virginia’s Matt Ruhl shaved eight seconds off his fastest time this season, notching a personal best 9:05.28, to qualify for the NCAA East Regional while competing at the Penn Relays tonight in Philadelphia. The Distance Medley Team also ran a season best 11:36.31, paced by Shannon Hawrylo, Carielle Doe, Sharon O’Connor and Dawn Cleary. Natalie Randolph took 8th in the 400m hurdle race, running 59.45.
The 400m relay team finished second in their heat at 46.08. Vika Osipenko vaulted 3.30m (10′ 10″) and Annie Bobiak threw the javelin 42.91m (140′ 9″).
