Virginia’s sprint medley team took 8th overall at the Penn Relays, finishing in 3:35.57 and winning their heat. Their counterparts on the men’s team finished 12th overall, running a 3:25.25. The women’s 4x1500m relay team also finished in the top-10, taking 10th overall with an 18:16.62.
Three male jumpers also competed for Virginia, as Mike Riso took 7th in the Eastern High Jump Division, going 2.00 (6′ 6.75″). Greg Blair cleared 4.60m (15′ 1″) in the pole vault while teammate Daniel Garrett vaulted 4.45m (14′ 7.25″).
The women’s 4x200m team qualified for the finals of the ECAC division, running 1:35.22. In the finals, the Cavaliers took second with a 1:36.06.
