CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team will hold its 2003 Cavalier Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21 at The Park. The tournament schedule has been altered due to expected wet field conditions from Hurricane Isabel.
The tournament will now begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (September 20) with Longwood playing Virginia Tech. At approximately 12:45 p.m. Longwood and Radford will play. UVa begins play at 2:30 p.m. against Radford. The first day of the tournament concludes with Virginia squaring off against Virginia Tech at approximately 4:15 p.m. On Saturday, each game will begin immediately following the previous contest, thus games may begin earlier than listed above.
On Sunday, Virginia Tech plays Radford at 10:00 a.m., followed by UVa and Longwood at noon. Playoff games are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Virginia will play at 4:00 p.m regardless of whether it is the championship or consolation game.
