HANOVER, N.H. – The Virginia women’s soccer team won its second tournament in as many weeks, defeating Harvard 1-0 Sunday to win the Adidas/Hypertherm Tournament. The win also marked the 150th career win for Virginia head coach Steve Swanson.
The Cavaliers (6-1-1) scored the lone goal of the game midway through the first half as Lindsay Gusick (Livonia, Mich.) scored on assists from Sarah Huffman (Flower Mound, Texas) and Shannon Foley (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.). The goal was the 25th of Gusick’s career, as she moves into the top ten on Virginia’s career goal list. The Cavalier defense held tight and shut out the Crimson (2-3-1).
