CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia men’s soccer team will host the Alabama A&M Bulldogs in a non-conference match on Saturday, October 4th beginning at 1:00 PM at UVa’s Kl?ckner Stadium. The Cavaliers will look to get back to their winning ways and will try to snap their current two-game losing skid in the meeting against the Bulldogs.

UVa (4-5-0 overall) has already posted two wins over teams ranked in the Top 5 in the nation this season and will look to even its record with a victory over Alabama A&M (3-4-0 overall). The Cavaliers are 1-0-0 all-time against the Bulldogs in men’s soccer. UVa defeated AA&M by the score of 4-0 back on September 12, 1982 in Charlottesville, Va. in the only previous meeting between the two teams.

Virginia’s match with Alabama A&M is the first match of a three-game homestand UVa has over the next two weeks. The Cavaliers will also host the Clemson Tigers in an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) match on October 11th and will face the West Virginia Mountaineers in a non-conference match on October 15th. Virginia will play three of its final five regular season matches on the road. UVa’s last two regular season home matches are on October 24th against the Liberty Flames and on November 7th against the VCU Rams.

Heading into the Alabama A&M match, UVa is 3-3-0 at home and 0-1-0 on the road. The Cavaliers were 1-1-0 in their two matches played on neutral sites earlier this season.
