CHARLOTTESVILLE – Three University of Virginia rowers have earned 2004 All-America honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Seniors Jennifer Reck (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.) and Lindsay Shoop (Charlottesville, Va.) earned first-team All-America honors, and senior Genevieve Cauchon-Voyer (Boucherville, Quebec) is a second-team All-America selection.

It is the third consecutive year Reck has earned first-team All-America honors and the second consecutive year Shoop is a first-team All-America selection. Cauchon-Voyer earned All-America recognition for the first time.

All three rowers were members of Virginia’s first varsity eight crew. Earlier this year they were first-team All-South Region and All-Atlantic Coast Conference selections.

Virginia’s first varsity eight finished ninth at the 2004 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships and the Cavaliers tied for sixth in the final team standings. UVa is one of just four schools to compete in each of the eight NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships.
