Nine Cavaliers will play this weekend in the second set of USFHA Summer League games as round-robin play continues in Virginia Beach at the National Training Center. Seven current Hoos will play for the Philadelphia Fury, including 2003 captain Logan Carr. Fellow captain Katie Jo Gerfen will suit up for the Tidewater Tempest, while Katherine Blair will play for the USA Junior Team.
Dana Anderson, Julianne Bojanic, Aly Curmaci, Allie Flynn, Mia Link and Lindsey Selfridge join Carr on the Fury, who will face the USA Junior Team on Sunday (June 27) at 8:00 am and then the Tempest at 2:00 pm. The Junior Team will take on the Tempest at 4:30 pm on Sunday.
Gerfen earned All-American status last year for the Cavaliers, her first such designation. Carr was Virginia’s starting keeper, while Flynn led Virginia in scoring.
The Cavaliers will open up the 2004 campaign with a scrimmage against American University on the road on August 21 before welcoming the Bison of Bucknell on Sat. August 28.
