ATHENS, Greece – Rising second-year Virginia swimmer Vanja Rogulj (Zagreb, Croatia/Split) finished 26th in the preliminaries of the 100-meter breaststroke Saturday (August 14) at the 2004 Olympic Games. Rogulj is competing for Croatia in the Olympic Games. The swimming competition is being held at the Olympic Aquatic Centre.
Rogulj, the 2004 ACC Men’s Rookie of the Year, posted a time of 1:03.16 in finishing eighth in the seventh heat. The top 16 finishers in the prelims advanced to the semifinals.
Rogulj will continue competition in the Olympic Games on Tuesday (August 17) when he swims the 200-meter breaststroke.
