CHARLOTTESVILLE – The University of Virginia men’s basketball team’s 2004-05 schedule was released by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Wednesday (August 18). The schedule features 15 home games.
Virginia opens its 2004-05 season with a home game against Robert Morris University on November 19. UVa plays eight ACC home games including games with Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. In addition to Robert Morris, the Cavaliers also play non-conference opponents Appalachian State, Arizona, Furman, Loyola Marymount, Richmond and Western Kentucky at home. UVa has a neutral site game against Auburn at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Va.
Virginia’s road schedule includes games with ACC opponents Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. The Cavaliers play non-conference road games at Iowa State and at Northwestern in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
UVa has one more game to schedule.
The ACC Tournament is scheduled for March 10-13 in Washington, D.C.
The Cavaliers are scheduled to play exhibition games at home against Lehman College and Marymount University.
