CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – University of Virginia head baseball coach Brian O’Connor added yet another award to his growing lists of accomplishments following the 2004 baseball season, as he was selected the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Diamond Sports Company 2004 NCAA Division I Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. O’Connor was one of nine college baseball coaches honored by the ABCA and the Diamond Sports Company as a Coach of the Year selection.
O’Connor was joined by eight other coaches who were tabbed as regional selections. Cal State Fullerton’s George Morton was named the ABCA NCAA Division I Coach of the Year.
