Virginia’s Mia Link, a second-year from Jenkintown, Pa., has been honored with a selection as a “Face in the Crowd” for the week of September 20, 2004. In Virginia’s game against Bucknell, Link had four goals and two assists, marking only the third time in school history that a player had notched 10 points in a single game. She followed that up with two goals against Appalachian State the next day, giving her 14 points in the weekend. She currently leads the team with nine goals and three assists and ranks in the top-10 nationally. She was selected to the national honor roll by womensfieldhockey.com for her efforts.
