CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Virginia softball team will hold its 2004 Cavalier Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday, October 2-3 at The Park. In addition to Virginia, George Washington, Hampton and Radford will compete in the tournament.
The tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. Saturday with Radford playing Hampton. Virginia begins play in the tournament at 1:00 p.m. Saturday against Radford. The Cavaliers take on Hampton at 3:00 p.m. UVa will play a doubleheader against George Washington on Sunday. The first game of the twinbill is scheduled to begin at noon.
The Cavaliers opened their fall season by sweeping four games last weekend at the Penn State Fall Tournament. UVa defeated St. Francis (Pa.) 5-3, Penn State 7-2, Lock Haven 6-1 and Pittsburgh 2-1.
