Cavaliers Compete at Great American Cross Country Festival

Virginia’s Will Christian finished fifth today (Oct 1) at the Great American Cross Country Festival, held at the SAS Soccer Park in Cary, NC as the Virginia men and women competed against some of the top teams in the nation. As a team, the Cavalier men were eighth, ahead of #23 Northern Arizona, and the women were seventh overall as first-year Emily Harrison led the way for the Hoos.

Christian’s time of 24:32.65 led the Cavalier men, who finished with a pack of four runners separated by 10 seconds. On the women’s side, first-year Emily Harrison finished just ahead of captain Cheryl Carr as the twowere 20th and 21st overall.
