GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Virginia freshman Adrian Joseph is the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball Rookie of the Week for his play in Virginia’s loss to Wake Forest University at University Hall on Sunday (Jan. 2).
The 6-7 forward from San Fernando, Trinidad, made his first start of the season and led the Cavaliers with a season-high 19 points against Wake Forest. Joseph was 7-12 from the field, including 3-6 from three-point range, and made both of his free throw attempts in the game. He also had one blocked shot and no turnovers in 32 minutes of action.
Georgia Tech’s Jarrett Jack was named the ACC men’s basketball Player of the Week.
