Virginia plays its annual Homecoming contest this Saturday against Duke at 3:30 p.m. This game is an historic one for the Cavaliers as they play their first-ever divisional contest in the two-division ACC.
Virginia has won its first two games of the season, including a dramatic 27-24 win last weekend at Syracuse. The three-point victory is the Cavaliers’ smallest in nearly two years.
Duke leaves the state of North Carolina for the first time this season Saturday. Curiously, this is the Blue Devils’ third game in a row against a Virginia school. They got their first win of the season with a 40-14 win over VMI last Saturday. The week before they opened their ACC schedule with a 45-0 loss to Virginia Tech.
