The second season of the award-winning Cavalier Sports Weekly, presented by the Virginia Lottery, continues Sunday, April 9th. The fast-paced, half-hour program provides comprehensive coverage of Virginia Athletics. Cavalier Sports Weekly can be seen regionally each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet. The program will also air on the new ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Charlottesville, on FOX 35 Richmond and on WSET-TV ABC 13 in Danville, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.
Junior softball player Meghan O’Leary will host the show. The program will feature highlights and analysis from baseball’s series against Duke and the #1 men’s lacrosse team’s game against North Carolina. The show will spotlight lacrosse goalie Doug Brody, an outstanding student who lives on the Lawn and is currently preparing for his senior photography show. Also included is a feature on standout women’s lacrosse player Blair Weymouth and a look at some former Virginia football players, now in the NFL, who have returned to Charlottesville for their off-season conditioning.
