CHARLOTTESVILLE – Eight members of the Virginia women’s swimming and diving team will compete next weekend at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, held March 8-10 at the Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
Katy Bland (Raleigh, N.C.), Amber Bialas (Virginia Beach, Va.), Mei Christensen (Reston, Va.), Erin Corgan (Marietta, Ga.), Megan Evo (Beverly Hills, Mich.), Stephanie Glover (Raleigh, N.C.), Jenna Harris (St. Louis, Mo.), and Jess Lewis (Allentown, Pa.) will make the trip to represent the Cavaliers.
Christensen will compete in the 200 I.M., 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke. Corgan, the ACC Champion in the 400 I.M., will compete in that event along with the 200 I.M. Megan Evo will also be competing in the 200 I.M., along with the 100 and 200 butterfly events. Glover will race in the 100 butterfly and the 50 free. Harris will compete in the 200 and 500 freestyle events, and Lewis will be in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free. Virginia will also field teams in the 200 free, 400 free, and 800 free relays.
Last year, the Cavaliers finished 23rd at the NCAA Championship meet.
